The Coconut Development Authority (CDA), which is under the purview of the Ministry of Plantation Industries, has created new employment opportunities for the year 2025. The positions of Lab Assistant and Programme Assistant have been posted, and these are great roles for people looking to work for a government institution which supports Sri Lanka’s coconut industry. Candidates who have completed their education in biology, chemistry or agriculture are eligible for the Lab Assistant role as it requires one to help with laboratory tests, aid in sample preparation, and assist in quality control processes related to the research and development of coconut products. Persons who have worked as administrative officers, project coordinators or have any development support services background can apply as they would be providing help towards the execution of different national development programs pertaining to the cultivation, processing, and export of coconuts through assisting in their implementation. Both roles come with a good remuneration package at par with other government employment, EPF/ETF, and the opportunity to contribute in the Sri Lankan public sector. The CDA encourages all interested and eligible candidates to apply on or before the 31st of July, 2025.
